You’ll hear a bit about the power of visualization and the scientific studies that back it up, learning how to be grateful for your circumstances, and the exact practice I use to tap into this powerful energy (it’s one of my favorite practices!). Jamie: [00:00:00] All right, on today’s podcast, we are going to talk about tapping into it is done energy to manifest your desires. And I realized that I’ve had so many interviews and so many guests come on the podcast and I’m always asking them, Hey, what has been most effective for you? What are some of the practices that you do?

That have been so helpful in terms of what they’ve learned through working together. And I’ve seen a common theme come up time and time again, which is so many of my clients say that it is done practice, that it has done energy. And I realized this is so not fair to you listeners who. Don’t know what this is to keep hearing this and thinking, what the heck are these people talking about?

So I thought it’s only fair that I do a full on podcast on what this it is done energy is that so many of my clients love [00:01:00] and use to manifest their wildest dreams in business and beyond. So let’s dive into it. Okay. So first, I learned about this concept from one of my favorite manifestation authors, Richard Dotz.

He has a book called It Is Done. You can go grab it on Amazon. It’s It’s super good. I’ll link it in the show notes. Um, and I initially read that book and that is how I learned about this process. But as I have done it, the process has evolved and I have found ways of not only doing it for myself that works really well, but helping my clients find a way to practice the it is done process that works for them.

And I don’t even want to say it is done process. But it’s more like tapping into the, it is done energy, right? So you want to find a way that works for you. And I’m going to go through some different ways you can [00:02:00] do this, what this is, why you should totally do it, uh, as you are manifesting in your business.

So let’s dive in. Okay. What is, it is done energy. It’s basically the opposite of worry. Right? So it’s using your imagination and your subconscious mind to visualize and go to the place with your imagination, but go there energetically feeling what it’s going to feel like. When it is done. When your manifestation has arrived.

When you are there. It’s going to that place and starting to feel what it feels like. Starting to get intimate with that version of you, your future self, [00:03:00] who did it. Who has it? Who experienced it? Right? And this is what’s so fun and so wild about manifestation, right? Like Albert Einstein was a scientist, but he literally taught energy and he taught manifestation.

And he says, time is relative. And It literally is. Like, it’s wild how when you close your eyes and go into your imagination, you can think about the future, right? You can imagine the future in whichever way you want to. You get to paint the picture of what your future is. So I like to think of it like this.

If time is relative, I can energetically take myself to the future me who has already done the thing, right? And I can practice building a relationship with that part of me, right? And so I’m going to, of course, like I said, talk about different [00:04:00] ways you can do this, especially if you’re not someone who’s good at visualizing or if you don’t have access to that.

Um, I’ll, I’ll tell you some other ways that you can practice this just so that that doesn’t become a barrier for you. Because I know not everyone has access to visualization in the same capacity in the same way. And that’s not everyone’s. That’s just not how everyone’s brain works. And that’s totally fine.

It doesn’t mean that you can’t manifest. There’s other doorways in, but basically what I’m saying is the, it is done. Practice is all about. Going to the place where it’s done and feeling what that feels like. What does that future you feel like? What’s different about them? How do they think? How do they feel?

What are they wearing? What’s different? Look around at the surroundings. Ooh, what’s different? Right? And really letting yourself go there and imagine all of that. All of the [00:05:00] details and what is super powerful about this is, as I said, it’s like the opposite of worry. So, so often when our brain is unmanaged.

We go to the future, right? We take our imagination to the future, but worry is actually manifesting worst case scenario. That’s what worry is. You’re literally thinking about worst case scenario. Going there energetically as if it’s happening and feeling what that would feel like ahead of time when it hasn’t even happened and you’re feeling those emotions now.

The it is done energy is the opposite of worry because you are consciously taking your imagination Your consciousness and your awareness into the future where everything worked out. It’s the desire, the, sorry, let me say that one [00:06:00] more time, Haley. You’re taking yourself to the outcome you really desire.

You’re taking yourself to where it is you really want to be. And you’re feeling those emotions. You’re feeling what it feels like if it all works out. What it feels like to have this thing, to have this experience, to have achieved it, to have become that version of you. And you’re practicing that consistently.

And what happens is when you think about best case scenario, and you really go there, and you feel what that feels like, and imagine what it looks like, and All of that, you are literally imprinting it in your subconscious, right? You’re giving your subconscious a little map. It’s like you’re plugging that destination into the GPS system of the universe, into your [00:07:00] subconscious, and you’re saying, This is where we’re going.

Right? And then what happens is once you have determined that, you’ve felt it, you’ve decided it, you’ve declared it, what happens is the universe will start guiding you there. And the more that you tap into that energy, the more it’s going to energize you and pull you there. And the opposite is also true.

If you are in the habit of worrying a lot, and habit is just a, I’m sorry, worrying is just a habit. If you let yourself continue that habit over and over, you’re constantly imagining worst case scenario, you’re constantly manifesting worst case scenario. Whenever I say manifesting, it’s like, that’s what you’re imagining over and over and over, and that’s what you’re feeling over and over and over.

So that’s probably what you’re going to be attracting. Even if you don’t attract that exact result, you’re attracting the experience within [00:08:00] yourself. That’s what you’re feeling. So you’re going to feel doubt. You’re going to not want to take action, right? You’re not going to be very motivated. That’s why a huge part of manifestation and a huge part of the work that I do with clients is to help them break the habit of worrying and stop worrying so much and start becoming aware of when your brain is doing it and learn how to Stop it.

Learn how to pause the worry and redirect, right?

Okay, so in order to practice the it is done energy, One of the things that you must know and decide on is what you actually want, right? And that’s a huge piece of manifestation getting crystal clear on what you want. Not what your parents want for you, not what your neighbor wants for you, not what your sister wants for you, not what society wants for you, or not what the [00:09:00] next person next to you is doing.

But no, it’s like what do you want? What does your soul really desire? What is true success to you? That’s a question. I love asking my clients. What is true success? What is your soul here to do? What is your soul here to experience? What do you want? Ask yourself that question because you really have to get clear on what it is you want.

In order to actually practice, it is done and feel what it feels like to have that outcome. So that is part one is you have to decide. You have to make a decision on where you’re going in order to get there. And then you can start this practice where you, like I said, kind of start developing a relationship with the version of you that has it.

Some people call this future self work. Um, I call it tapping into it is done energy where you [00:10:00] actually just decide that This is done, right? Like once you start seeing it, once you start visualizing it, you’ll realize, wait, this is done, this is in my future, I know this is happening, I no longer need to spend time doubting and wondering and spinning, right?

You know, it’s done. So you can just trust that if you take one step at a hop, that if you take one step at a time in the direction of that desired outcome, it will eventually manifest. Now, here’s something important to remember is that. You can use this practice for you. You do not want to use it against you.

Now, whenever I say that, I mean you want to go into that future desired reality and feel it. But you have to remember that there is not better than [00:11:00] here. When you start going there and you’re like, Oh, it feels so good in my future once I have the million dollars, or once I have the beach house, or once I have the whatever it is, right?

Insert whatever your dream is, whatever your manifestation is, right? And it’s gonna feel really juicy. It’s gonna feel really good going there. But you have to realize that You have access to that now. If you felt that, you have access to that energy now. You have access to those feelings now. And the more that you align your life now with that version of you in the future, The faster it’s going to come into your life, it’s going to attract into your life.

So that’s why I love using the it is done practice and visualization because it helps me see, Ooh, that’s the energy of the me that has it. [00:12:00] And then I get to ask myself, how can I bring that energy into my life? Now, how can I feel the emotions that the version of me who has that thing feels, but how can I feel those now?

How do I have to look at my life differently? How do I have to start thinking now to start generating those emotions? What limiting beliefs do I need to clear so that I can become in alignment with that version of me? But now, now that’s the secret of the, it is done practice because I say there’s a way that people tend to use it against themselves.

And I want to point this out so that you don’t do this, which is they do the, it is done practice, but almost in a way of longing for it, right? Or manifesting from a place of scarcity of like, I don’t have enough. Now I’m not enough. Now it’s not enough. I have to get there to feel better. So you go to the place where [00:13:00] it is done, but there’s a massive contrast between your life now and that life.

And that’s what I would say is the opportunity is to bridge that gap, right? And say, wait a minute. It is not the circumstances that would be creating that feeling, right? That, of course, let me say that one more time, Haley.

In my future reality, it is not the circumstances that are creating my feelings. It would be the way that I’m thinking about my life. So how can I do that now? Because that’s going to help me align with Okay, so one thing that I think it’s so fun to look at like scientific studies that tell us why this stuff works.

And so I’ve loved diving into that kind of stuff. And one thing that scientists have realized is that the brain [00:14:00] actually doesn’t know the difference between something real and something imagined, right? In terms of like, um, If you’re imagining a future, the brain doesn’t actually know, oh, are you actually living that or are you just imagining it?

The brain doesn’t know the difference. That’s why whenever we think about something that scares us, right? We have a lot of panic and anxiety inside of our body because our body actually thinks we’re experiencing that, right? And it’s the same whenever you go to the future outcome that you really want.

The brain doesn’t know the difference of if this is actually happening or not. So what we’re doing is we’re getting ourselves memorizing those emotions of the version of us that has it. All right. And whenever I say scientific studies, you like, I’ve Googled all kinds of scientific studies on the power of visualization, right?

And there are studies that show us like that. [00:15:00] There’s, um, they did a study with piano players and there was one group. That they kind of cut the study in half. One of the groups was actually practicing the piano with a piano, right? They were practicing their scales, practicing pieces, whatever. They probably gave them a composition to play.

And the persons were actually, sorry, let me say that one more time, Hayley. And the people were actually practicing on the piano. Now, group B did not have a piano. They didn’t give them a piano, but they were also piano players. So, in group B, they said, I want you to visualize yourself practicing this piece every day for X amount of time.

So group B visualized themselves practicing, right? They saw themselves doing it, they felt it, but they didn’t actually have a piano. They were just visualizing it, right? And in this study, it showed that both [00:16:00] participants, A and B, those with a piano and those without, both significantly improved. Their ability to play this piece significantly.

Now, of course, the ones that did it on piano improved a bit more, but they were so surprised that those who were visualizing themselves playing over and over and over for X amount of times also improved significantly, right? So that just goes to show you, like, the brain actually doesn’t know the difference.

And this is where you see sometimes whenever you watch, you know, documentaries about, um, People who play sports or I love watching the Olympics and you see this with skiers where before they go and before they do their run They visualize the whole thing. They even like act it out in their body and they feel it and they see it Why do they do that?

They’re preparing their brain for it. They’re [00:17:00] preparing their brain for the outcome that they want Right and guess what we can do that with anything which is so fun and I have I have first hand totally seen the effects of using this practice and I want to tell you some different ways that I have used it because it’s not just about your big manifestation that you want, of course, you can use it for that, whatever it is, if you’ve had a huge goal that you’ve been going for in your business, or if you’ve been dreaming of moving into a certain house, or I remember whenever I was manifesting my condo in Hawaii, I would visualize it all the time.

And I have to say it is so wild because what I wrote down in my, it is done process, whenever I did, you know, I tapped into it is done energy of my condo and I wrote it out. The condo that I bought mimics that I remember thinking, Oh my [00:18:00] gosh, this is it. And whenever I walked in, I knew I was like, this is it.

I didn’t even actually walk in. I saw the listing, right? I was in LA or real estate agent sent us the listing. I’m like, Josh, we got to put an offer on this. This is ours. Like, I just knew it. And then whenever I got there, I was like, wow, this really was what I saw. And so much more. So you can do it for the big things.

course, but you can also do it for the little things. And this is where I actually practice. It is done in tapping into the energy and visualizing and setting intentions ahead of time, even more, right? So for example, if I have a webinar coming up that I’m going to be teaching or a workshop. I will literally write because my practice isn’t so much closing my eyes and visualizing.

I actually visualize with words. Like I do see it, but I write it down in my journal. That’s what works for me. And I’m going to go through some different ways that you can do this, but that’s my best practice is [00:19:00] actually doing it in writing. Um, but I will write out exactly. What it feels like, how I’m experiencing the webinar, how I’m coming across, how the ideas are flowing through me.

I get super specific, super clear. I set an intention of the energy that I want to be in ahead of time and how it’s going to feel afterwards. And I’m going to hang up the zoom call and I’m going to say, Oh my gosh, that went amazing. Or I’m going to go tell Josh. Oh, it was awesome. It was so fun. Everyone was so engaged.

I loved it so much. I will literally get. Super detailed into those like micro moments of what happens after I close that zoom screen. What’s the first thing that I think? What’s the first thing that I go do afterwards? I probably take a big drink of water because I was on fire and then I walked downstairs and I tell Josh I did it and it was so fun, right?

So I’ll do it for the little things too. Um, I love doing it for vacations or, um, like, yeah, if I’m going to be taking a vacation or going on a retreat, I love setting [00:20:00] intentions ahead of time of what it’s going to feel like, what my experience is going to be like, and I write that all out as if it is done, I write, and when I say it is done, you have to go to the place where you’re already there and you’re writing it from, um, the place of, Here I am in the present moment of your future, right?

Here I am in X, Y, Z. It’s so much fun. This is my experience. I love seeing this, right? So like get super detailed, um, writing it in the present tense of your future. If you’re going to do it in writing, that’s how I do it all the time. And I’m constantly. Just like getting intentional about my life, getting intentional about the things that really matter in my business and calls that I have.

And even like before my mastermind, I think about it ahead of time. What is this group going to feel like? Who am I calling in? What type of people? What’s the energy going to be like? What’s their connection going to be like? How am I going to feel in the presence of everyone? What’s the [00:21:00] teachings going to be like?

How’s the experience? I get so crystal clear and write all of that out, right? So it’s not just the one big goal that I’m doing this for. I literally do it for so many things in my life, right? You can do it for your relationship. Um, I’ll do it for tough conversations, right? If I know that there’s a conversation that I just feel nervous about having, um, and I want it to go well, but I’m scared, I will literally do.

I’ll tap into the energy of it is done. I’ll go to best case scenario, best outcome, and I’ll get crystal clear on what that is. And I’ll write it out, or I might just like, tap into it and visualize it. This is great if you do speeches, this is great. Um. Yeah, for really anything, anything you want to call in, if you’re nervous on planes, this is the best.

My husband actually kind of got over his fear of being on planes and he uses this practice of like seeing it ahead of time, [00:22:00] seeing it be an easeful flight where he just feels totally fine, breathing right on through it, no problems at all, smooth, you know, smooth sailing, well smooth flying more like, right?

So anything that you tend to Get nervous about or even that you just want to reprogram you can use It is done practice and tap into the it is done energy and go to what is the best case scenario? Think about it with money. How do you want to feel about money? Right? How do you want? What do you want your experience to be like?

What’s the first thing you want to think whenever you look at your account? How do you want to feel when you look at your account, right? These kind of things you can use this practice for it’s so powerful. It’s honestly I have to say Probably my favorite manifestation practice and I use it all the time.

I have journals and journals Of different, um, I call them ideal scenarios that I write out I call them [00:23:00] living visions where I write out the energy of what I want it to be and It just works because I look back at these and I thought, oh, that happened, that happened, that happened, that happened, or maybe it didn’t happen the first time around, but I’m like, oh, I’m going to commit to this until I’m in that energy that I saw, right?

So, for example, if I do a launch and the first time around, oh, no, that didn’t happen exactly like my visualization, but I’ll just commit to keep doing it until it feels that way until that is my experience. experience and I’ll keep aligning with that. Um, okay. So as promised, I said that I would share some different ways that you can do this, right?

Because everyone’s brain works different and that’s why I always say there’s no one way to manifest. If you struggle to visualize you’re not alone. Me too. Like that is not always my easiest practice. I get distracted really easily. So actually writing it down for me helps because if I’m writing, it kind of gives my brain a [00:24:00] focus to kind of stay there.

Um, so that’s my favorite is actually write it out detail by detail. Um, and I have a couple of different ways that you can do that inside of the money manifestation movement, but I’ll give you one that’s just super easy, which is called an ideal scenario, which is where you go to the future where it is done right from the present tense.

Talk exactly what it’s like, what that experience is like, and the more detailed you get, the better, right? What does it smell like? How does it feel? What’s the temperature like? How do you feel as you’re doing it? What is the emotion that you’re in? How are you feeling, right? How are you, whatever, right?

Like, get super, super detailed. Again, also, if you can visualize, definitely do that. Um, and it’s so helpful to be able to see it and I do do a little bit of visualization. I do both because I think whenever I’m writing, I can kind of visualize [00:25:00] as I’m writing. So mine kind of go hand in hand where I’m writing and visualizing, um, but for my husband, he actually visualizes every day.

He just does a meditation. Then he closes his eyes and he does a whole manifestation practice. He says, I’m manifesting, but really what he’s doing is he’s visualizing, um, his future, right? His desired future outcomes that he wants. And he’s Feeling it, seeing it, and the way that he describes it is he kind of sees it as a movie, um, which is amazing.

Another way that you can do it if you are more of like an auditory processor or if you’re a more, um, uh, sorry, not, let me say that again. What is it? Auditory processor?

So another way that you can do it if you like to talk things out, if you process through talking things out, is actually, you can record it, right? So just get out your phone, go to the voice memo, record yourself talking it out into [00:26:00] A voice memo, and that absolutely works. Also, if you have a friend or a manifestation buddy or a partner who’s open to this, you can talk it out with them.

I do this with my husband a lot. Luckily, he’s on board with it at this point. He didn’t used to be into this manifestation stuff till he saw it working, and then he decided, What is it that you’re doing? He started asking me. So we do some of this stuff together now. Um, but one of the things that we’ll do is we’ll just talk it out as if it already happened.

So we usually do this in the bathroom when we’re getting ready. And if I have something coming up that day. Um, I’ll say, Hey, babe, will you do just like, let me talk this out with you. Let’s go to, it is done. And he’ll be like, okay, let’s do it. Or maybe if we’re on a walk, we do it a lot of times when we’re walking too.

And I’ll just be like, oh my gosh, it went so well. I loved it. It was so fun. Blah, blah, blah. And I’ll just start talking about it as if it happened. We kind of pretend. Like it already happened, like we’re talking from the future, and [00:27:00] we just speak it out. Um, and so you can do that with a partner too, or a friend.

Um, but you can also just do it right into your phone. And what’s really fun about doing it right into your phone is that you can also listen back to it. And that’s also super helpful. If you tend to be more of an auditory learner, you know, if that’s what works for you. Speak it out and then listen to it and you can listen to it before bed or first thing in the morning.

They say that’s really the best time to listen because it’s when you’re like between the awake state and the dream state and your subconscious is very open at that time. So that’s a great time to either Listen to it back or even like read it first thing if you have one written out and you want to read it back to yourself, that can be super, super helpful.

Um, but yeah, the practice really is just going to the place where it’s done. It’s knowing it’s done. It’s having no doubt that it’s done. It’s not questioning that it’s done. done [00:28:00] and it’s being patient and enjoying the journey there. Then it’s going one step at a time and what you’ll find is that if you know it’s done and if you decide it’s done, the universe is just going to give you the next step.

And the next step, and the next step, and all you have to do is practice patience, practice aligning with the version of you that has it. Practice getting into that energetic state now, right? Don’t wait. Don’t wait for the money to feel abundant. You can feel abundant now. That’s what’s going to help you create the money.

Right? Okay, so that’s the practice. That’s what we’re all talking about whenever my clients say I love the it is done practice I love getting into it is done energy and I hope you will use it and I hope you enjoy it and you can totally manifest using this.
